Korn bassist Fieldy clarifies “bad habits” that led to hiatus from band, says he’s the “happiest I’ve ever been”

Korn bassist Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu has provided fans with an update regarding his touring hiatus from the nu metal band. READ MORE: Korn: “On this record, we have grown emotionally. Music is healing to all of us” In mid-2021, Fieldy told fans he would not be appearing on Korn’s upcoming tour , explaining that for the past six years, he had been “dealing with some personal issues that at times have caused me to fall back on some of my bad habits and has caused some tension with the people around me”. He went on to say it had “been suggested” that he “take some time off to heal”, and that he was going to respect that request. “Unfortunately you will not see me on stage with my band,” he added. “I will be working towards getting the bad habits out of my system. Robert Fripp and Toyah Willcox have returned for yet another Sunday Lunch , this time stripping back to their roots for a casual cover of Korn ’s ‘Blind’. Companies and organisations are reportedly continuing to cut ties with Kanye West in light of his string of antisemitic remarks in recent weeks, including his lawyer and booking agency. West signed with CAA for touring representation in 2016, but he has not embarked on a tour since that time. Happy Mondays announce first North American tour dates in 14 years

Happy Mondays will return to North America for the first time since 2009 next year, where they will perform their 1990 album ‘Pills ‘N’ Thrills and Bellyaches’ in full. The shows, announced today (October 24), will see the band perform at Terminal 5 in New York City on March 25 and the Belasco Theatre in Los Angeles on March 28. At the latter date, the band will be joined by DJ Paul Oakenfold as a special guest. Tickets will go on sale this Friday (October 28) at 10am local time – find New York tickets here , and LA tickets here . These shows will mark the band’s first shows on the continent in nearly 14 years. In 2009, the band toured through the US and Canada on a co-headliner with the Psychedelic Furs . Hacker who stole from Kanye West, Frank Ocean and more to serve 18 months in jail

A 23-year-old hacker has been sentenced to 18 months in prison, after stealing unreleased material from Kanye West , Frank Ocean , Post Malone , Ed Sheeran and more. As reported by the  Associated Press , Adrian Kwiatkowski – from Ipswich in eastern England – illegally accessed cloud-based accounts owned by a number of artists, and subsequently made electronic copies of their unfinished songs. He then sold the material for cryptocurrency, raking in an estimated USD$147,000 (£131,000). Kwiatkowski was caught after Frank Ocean’s representatives launched a complaint with the New York District Attorney’s office in 2019. They claimed that someone online, who went as “Spirdark”, had accessed the Dropbox account of Ocean’s producer and downloaded unreleased music from it. The email address for Spirdark’s cryptocurrency account was traced back to Kwiatkowski, and after further investigations, he was arrested by London Police Department’s Intellectual Property Crime Unit. Johnny Depp and Jeff Beck sue professor over plagiarism allegations

Johnny Depp  and  Jeff Beck are suing a professor and folklorist, Bruce Jackson, over his allegations the pair’s song ‘Sad Motherfuckin’ Parade’ plagiarises an old poem titled Hobo Ben . Per Rolling Stone , Jackson accused Depp and Beck of pulling lines from the poem back in August, which he references in his 1974 book about toasts,  Get Your Ass In The Water And Swim Like Me . The lyrics to ‘Sad Motherfucking’ Parade’ and ‘Hobo Ben’ overlap a number of times, with the lines “ I’m raggedy, I know, but I have no stink / God bless the lady that’ll buy me a drink ,” and “ What that funky motherfucker really needs, child, is a bath ” appearing in both. The poem doesn’t have an explicit author, but was told to Jackson by an inmate at Missouri State Penitentiary, named Slim Wilson. First 191 artists announced for SXSW 2023

Promoters have announced the first batch of artists set to perform at next year’s South By Southwest ( SXSW ), with a stonking 191 names featured on the bill. In partnership with Secret Sounds The 1975 have added a second Melbourne date, and upgraded their Adelaide venue, following high demand for the Australian and New Zealand leg of the ‘At Their Very Best’ tour. They were initially slated to play one show each in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney, but have now added a second Melbourne show to their schedule after the first sold out. They’ve also upgraded their Adelaide venue, moving from the Adelaide Entertainment Centre’s Theatre (which has a capacity of 3,000 punters) to its 11,300-capacity Arena.
