Omarosa Looks Back on Her Viral ‘Wendy Williams Show’ Appearance

Omarosa has no regrets about her infamous appearance on Wendy Williams’ talk show.

“I was so excited to go on The Wendy Williams Show, and then the train went off the rails,” Omarosa, 50, exclusively recalled to Us Weekly while attending the 11th Annual American Reality Television Awards earlier this month. “Even now, fans are so intrigued by that encounter. My career is attributed to the fans and them continuing to click on it. It’s now at 24 million views. It’s kind of insane, right? And that was such a long time ago.”

In 2008, Omarosa appeared on Williams’ talk show to discuss her book The Bitch Switch: Knowing How to Turn It On and Off.

During the sit-down interview, the conversation turned tense when Omarosa accused Williams, 60, of being “fake.”

“You have guests on your show and then you go on your radio show and talk smack instead of doing it while they’re sitting on the couch,” she said. “I don’t have to be your type.”

The tension only continued to grow when Omarosa accused Williams of having a nose job — a claim the host immediately denied.

“They say Black don’t crack,” Williams replied while looking at Omarosa’s face. “She’s cracking.”

Williams later received a standing ovation from her audience when she ended the interview by proclaiming, “Thank you for coming on my show.”

When asked by Us if she stands by what she said, Omarosa replied with a laugh: “Yes. I stand on business.”

Ever since she appeared on the first season of The Apprentice in 2004, Omarosa has made a name for herself in the reality TV genre. Twenty years later, the former political aide to current president-elect Donald Trump remains grateful for the fans who allowed her to appear on various shows like House of Villains, Celebrity Big Brother and Celebrity Apprentice.

“I’ve got a new show coming out in the spring on Hulu,” she teased to Us at the Avalon Hollywood. “Please look out for it. I can’t announce the name, but I think it’s the most exciting reality TV concept in a long time.”

Until then, fans can continue reliving some of Omarosa’s most OMG moments on YouTube, including when she called Bethenny Frankelmediocre” on her own talk show.

“After I said that, and then her show got canceled,” Omarosa told Us. “That’s what happened. I’m sorry. Bethenny.”

The 11th Annual American Reality Television Awards will premiere Friday, November 29, on Roku Channel, Pluto TV and Xumo.
